BLUES WORKSHOP

This is a fairly intensive workshop. Knowledge of open and barre chords is required.
Topics covered:
- Basic 12, 8 and 16 bar shuffle and boogie rhythm patterns
- Chord substitution and advanced spread patterns
- Intros, endings and turnarounds
- Pentatonic and Blues scales
- Blues licks, target notes and standard phrasing
- Improvisation
- Mixolydian mode and the role it plays in blues and funk guitar
